SMS Terms
Last updated 11 September 2026. These cover text messages sent by HomeProjectMatch. They do not cover messages sent to you directly by a service professional — those come from that professional's own number and are theirs to explain and to stop.
What the messages are
If you give us your mobile number and agree to be contacted, we may text you about the project you asked about: confirming we received it, telling you a professional is going to be in touch, reminding you about an unfinished request, or asking how it went.
These are messages about your own request. We do not sell your number to advertisers, and we do not send marketing for unrelated products.
How often
It depends on your project and on how far through it you are. Most people receive a small number of messages over a few days. There is no fixed schedule and no recurring subscription.
Stopping them
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. You will get one confirmation that we have, and then nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or use the contact details below.
Asking us to stop does not withdraw your project request, and it does not stop a professional who already has your number from calling you. To stop everything, tell us and we will remove you.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply, and that is between you and your mobile carrier. We do not charge for messages. Delivery is not something any sender can promise — carriers filter and delay messages, and supported carriers are not liable for undelivered or delayed messages.
Your number
Please give us a number you are entitled to use, and tell us if it changes hands. How we handle it otherwise is in the Privacy Policy.
